Q. How long do the eyelash extensions last?
A. The eyelash extensions last on average two to six weeks sometimes up to 2 months and then the client will need what is called a touch up to replace any extensions that may have fallen off. There are factors that affect the length of time that the extensions last include the client's lifestyle, the client’s natural lash cycle, the client's medical conditions, and the natural length and volume of the natural lashes. Eyelash extensions are beautiful on most but not right for everyone, a complimentary consultation is recommended.
Q. What should I do before coming in for my eyelash extension appointment?
A.Do not apply makeup in the eye area and be sure there is no mascara residue. Shower before your appointment. Proper bonding time for your lash extensions is needed and for a full 24 hours there should be no contact with water (including steam & sweat) to your eye area.
Q. How do I remove makeup when wearing eyelash extensions?
A. Do not use oil based products of any kind near your eyes. Waterproof makeup is difficult to remove and often times requires harsh remover and rubbing both of which will lessen the bonding of the lash extensions. If you have any questions, you can always bring your product in to be checked. Tina recommends a lash bath foam that will be discussed during your visit.
Q. Do Eyelash Extensions damage natural lashes or make them fall out?
A. No! Eyelash extensions are a bond that protect the natural lash rather than repetitively damaging them with use of mascara, curlers, and other lash products. Properly applied extensions are single hairs that are bonded to each of your natural lashes. There will not be any damage to your natural lashes or causing the natural lashes to fall out.
Q. What do the lash extensions feel like?
A. The adhesive dries very soft on lashes, allowing the eyelash extensions to stay soft and flexible - just like your own lashes. Many clients don’t feel anything at all because the lashes are weightless but they all enjoy the “beautiful eyes” compliments!
Q. Can I wear mascara with the eyelash extensions?
A.Most people get the lash extensions so that they just wake up looking great and don't have to put mascara on anymore. However you may wear water-based mascara on the tip of the eyelash extensions for enhancement. Never use waterproof mascara. Water-based mascara should come off with just soap and water while washing your face or showering.

A.Lash Extensions are made of a synthetic material, which is very soft and naturally curved. The lashes are crimp-resistance and extremely flexible.
Q. What is the difference between Eyelash Extensions and traditional false lashes?
A.Tina uses lash extensions that are made to look identical to human lashes and are water resistant; the adhesive is formulated for a semi-permanent bond and dries soft on lashes. The polypeptide bond allows lashes to remain flexible and bouncy while lasting 4-6weeks on average.
Traditional false lashes are usually made with a strip or with multiple lashes knotted together and are applied directly on the eyelid using adhesive formulas that dry hard on the eyelid and lashes. They often cause discomfort to the eyes and may cause your natural lashes to fall out prematurely. Traditional false lashes usually last only one day to a week, often looking unnatural and feeling heavy on your eyes.
Q. How soon before an event should I have Lash Extensions applied?
A. Tina suggests 2 days to 5 days before that special event or vacation. This insures accurate curing time for the bonding agent (which can take up to 48 hours) and the freshest possible look for the lashes.
